THE KEY IS CURIOSITY

At Lusher Fine Art, we believe every artifact tells a story. As a family-owned business rooted in the rich cultural heritage of the American West, we specialize in authentic Native American artifacts, vintage Western collectibles, and fine art spanning from the 1800s to the 1990s. From rare Sioux cradles and Texas Ranger revolvers to Bohlin saddles and original turquoise jewelry, each piece we curate reflects the enduring beauty and history of the Southwest, early America, and Mexico.

Whether through our retail gallery, online store, or bi-annual auctions held in Santa Fe and online, our mission is to connect collectors with museum-quality treasures that preserve the spirit of the West.

We are passionate about showcasing the diverse stories and artistry of the American frontier. Our carefully curated collection includes:

  • Historic Western saddles, spurs, and firearms

  • Authentic Native American beadwork, pottery, and ceremonial items

  • Original fine art by Southwestern painters

Every item is meticulously evaluated for authenticity, provenance, and condition, ensuring that what you bring home is not only beautiful but historically significant.

OUR STORY

A Lifelong Journey of Discovery

The heart of Lusher Fine Art lies in the Lusher Private Collection, initially built by Ted Lusher and expanded by Chris Lusher, whose fascination with vaqueros, cowboys, and early ranching culture shaped much of our collection today.

From rare Texas Ranger artifacts to the vibrant traditions of Mexican and Native American artisans, we gather objects that span over 400 years of history across the Southwestern U.S. and Mexico. Our contemporary offerings often draw inspiration from this rich past—reflecting not only historical value but exceptional craftsmanship.

Chris’s love for Texas Longhorns, the lifeblood of early cattle drives, led him to raise Longhorns himself on the Lusher Ranches, deepening his understanding of Western life beyond collecting. His knowledge of cowboy gear, prison-made spurs, and historic firearms continues to shape the depth and authenticity of our offerings.

Frustrated by high fees and limited access in the traditional auction market, Chris founded Lusher Fine Art & Auctions to create a more accessible, transparent, and community-driven space for collectors. We aim to offer lower seller fees, national exposure, and a trusted community of enthusiasts who share our passion for the American West.
