Huffman wrote, "In the distance leisurely grazing is the day herd. All is quiet. The day's work is done and the night hawk will soon start his vigil with the cavvy while the night guards sing to the cattle." -L.A. Huffman. This photograph was taken in the spring of 1907, about 20 to 25 miles from the head of the creek. The rider in the foreground is likely Eva Carey, the night hawk, or possibly Flayto, the horse wrangler for the Pumpkin Creek Pool.
