Beautiful Brown felt Nudie's Cowboy Hat owned by Dean Smith. Marked "Nudie's RODEO TAILORS, NORTH HOLLYWOOD CALIFORNIA", "HAND CREASED" and "DOBBS WEST" on sweatband. Brown ribbon hat band and size 7 1/8". Dean Smith was born in 1932 in Breckenridge, Texas. Attended the University of Texas and was a track athlete in the 1952 Summer Olympics. He played professional football for the Rams and Steelers before heading to Hollywood. Smith became a professional rodeo cowboy as well as a stuntman in various Western movies such as The Alamo, The Comancheros, El Dorado and Rio Bravo. He was inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2006. Condition: Excellent, showing light period use. Provenace: Owned by Dean Smith, purchased from Dean Smith estate January 9, 2025
