Mexican Presidential Saddle, Ca. 1974, made by Jesus Mejia Olca Talabarteria for President Luis Echevarria Alverez. This Mexican Saddle is extravagantly embroidered with intricate Piteado Cactus fiber thread with the Mexican leaf theme by Isaias and Don Nabor Martinez. The Repousse Silver is pure 9.25 sterling, the body shows a leaf design or more known as grape. The "D" rings are all of soft iron and silver inlays. Furthermore, the filigree conchos are forged in soft iron, engraved and inlaid with silver. Saddle is made on Oaxacan leather. Provenance: The Estate of Echevarria in Merida, Yucatan.
