RARE Saloon Gambler's Personal Traveling Box, 1800s
A truly spectacular true Saloon gambler's personal traveling case. Built of finely finished wood with brass lock with key and hiden drawer. Inside the hinged top is velvet lining with a shaving mirror underneath. The top shelf has multiple vanity storeage jars plus grooming utensils. Underneath the top tray lies a hidden compartment holding a "Sterling" marked dagger, small "Derringer" style pistol, old Parchen's Drug Store (1839-1925) match book and gambler's pair of sunglasses. The hidden drawer that pulls out to the side, has three compartments holding multiple items from dice, an old brass skeleton hotel key, straight edge razor, gambling chips, small eyeglass case and pocket watch. Ca. 1800s
