Forged iron pipe-tomahawk head with stepped shoulders, containing the words "U S • Chief Sitanka • Lakota • Warrior • Friend • Leader • 1890", pierced at the butt for a hide wrist-thong that suspends a long cloth trailer edged in ochred horsehair
