Large Interesting Salado Bowl, Ca 1250 - 1450 AD
Huge stunning Salado polychrome bowl represents a peak of prehistoric Southwestern ceramic artistry. The hand-coiled, large redware vessel features a beautifully executed white design on its exterior, typical of the Gila Polychrome style. The interior is a vibrant orange-red, creating a striking visual contrast.
12 3/4"D, 6 1/2"
Professionally re-assembled and re-glued from six large pieces, with restoration commensurate with its considerable age and history.
