This rare 1880s Cheyenne beaded pipe bag is sinew sewn on native tanned hide and features the traditional bar design, a classic motif in Cheyenne beadwork. The top panel is trimmed in white, red heart, and navy beads along the edge and opening, while the beaded panel alternates between white, navy, and blue beads in distinctive Cheyenne style. A long fringe completes the bag, adding movement and authenticity.
This 19th-century artifact reflects the artistry and symbolism of the Cheyenne people and is preserved in excellent condition.
